The British Museum

Founded in the mid 18th century, the British Museum was the first national public museum In the world. Dedicated to human history, art and culture it contains the world’s greatest collection of antiquities from ancient Asia, Greece and Rome. Famous exhibits include the Rosetta Stone and the Elgin Marbles. We can do a highlights tour of the museum, or if you have a particular area of interest we can focus on that for you.

The National Gallery

With over 2,300 paintings this is one of the greatest collections of European paintings in the world. The permanent collection spans the period from about 1250 to 1900 and consists of Western European paintings, by illustrious painters such as Velázquez, Turner, Van Gogh, Raphael, Caravaggio to name but a few.

The Victoria and Albert Museum

This is the world’s greatest museum of art and design, with collections unrivalled in their scope and diversity. Discover 3000 years’ worth of amazing artefacts from many of the world’s richest cultures including ceramics, furniture, fashion, glass, jewellery, metalwork, photographs, sculpture, textiles and paintings.

Tate Modern

The Tate Modern is home to Contemporary art, and is one of the most visited galleries in London. The building was previously a Power Station, and is architecturally of interest.

The tour of the Tate Modern will take you through a journey of 20th and 21st Century art, and you will see many paintings including works from Picasso, Dali, De Chirico and Rothko.

The Wallace Collection

One of London’s most unique and least known museums. The Wallace Collection is a national museum located in a historic former London town house of the Seymour family, Marquesses of Hertford. In 25 galleries are unsurpassed displays of French 18th Century paintings, furniture and porcelain with superb Old Master paintings and a world class armoury.
